The TSTC Waco English department provides courses in composition, research, technical and business writing, literature, and humanities. In addition, the department provides developmental courses in writing and reading. Discipline-specific writing projects, as well as presentation projects, are encouraged in all classes. In addition to the traditional face-to-face classroom environment, the English department offers distance learning and hybrid classes. All academic courses offered by the English department will transfer to a four-year college, and all literature classes may substitute for humanities. The English department's Tutorial Center offers face-to-face and online tutoring assistance for all English classes, as well as tutoring across the curriculum.
