| A new student will not be eligible for check cashing privileges until their first class day or later. When we are between terms, students must be preregistered to continue cashing checks during the break. If you do not preregister, you will not be eligible to cash checks until the first class day of the new term, or later.
TSTC employees may cash checks written on their personal checking accounts – no second party checks. Current Texas driver's license or TSTC ID card should be presented for identification.
Check cashing is a service provided by TSTC. We reserve the right to refuse to cash any check that is considered questionable as regards origin, authenticity, funds, etc. Checks are deposited only one time by TSTC. A handling charge of $25.00 per check will be charged on all returned checks. A personal check WILL NOT be accepted as payment for a returned check. A person who has had two or more returned checks may have check cashing privileges suspended for four to six months, or longer. |
