Aircraft Pilot Training

Pilots, the highly trained professionals who fly airplanes and helicopters, enjoy a variety of exciting career possibilities. The Aircraft Pilot Training Technology program at Texas State Technical College guides you through the challenge of gaining skills, experience, and various flight certificates needed to become a successful pilot. The five-semester flight program offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation.

In the APT program, expect total immersion in flight activities, from classroom studies to assignments in the sky. The Waco area offers open skies and favorable weather, conducive to a great flying experience.

Students must pass TSTC entrance exams or complete required remediation before enrolling in the APT program.

In addition all students enrolling in the Aircraft Pilot Training program must have a Class II Airman's Medical Certificate in their possession at the time of enrollment. A list of FAA-approved physicians is available at APT dispatch or online at http://www.flightphysical.com.
