Roles & Responsibilities:
The Avionics Technology program has an 85 percent job placement rate. Graduates may find opportunities in areas such as bench repair, aircraft systems functional testing, system design, system integration, sales and marketing, managerial, research and development, flight line maintenance or system installation. Graduates can look forward to an array of career options, with major aircraft and avionics manufacturers, international, domestic and regional airlines, corporate flight departments, general aviation and avionics businesses.
 
Employers want technicians who can:
  • Read and interpret technical data;
  • Work well as team members;
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with customers;
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic; and
