Tech Bucks

Tech Bucks offer students and employees the option of purchasing credit on account that is accessed through their TechOne card, eliminating the need to carry cash for food purchases.

Tech Bucks are sold in $50 increments, and may be purchased by presenting cash, check* or major credit card at the TSTC Tornado Alley Café, or the TSTC Waco Cashier’s office, both located in the Student Services Center.

Tech Bucks work on a declining balance method; therefore the cardholder makes purchase at Tornado Alley and the funds are deducted from their account, dollar for dollar.  Tech Buck holders will receive a receipt for their current purchase which will also include the balance of their account.

Once dollars are placed on the account, they cannot be withdrawn. Should you leave TSTC, no refunds will be issued.

All Tech Buck account balances expire on the last day of class of the summer semester.  Tech Bucks have no cash value at expiration, and are not transferable.

*Returned check fee - $25.00 (http://www.waco.tstc.edu/admissions/pv/check_cashing.php).  In addition, TSTC will inactivate the purchasers Tech Bucks, until such time as the returned check & the fee have been collected on.  Should the check writer fail to collect on the returned check, balances expended prior to the return of the check will be applied to their TSTC Receivables account, and may result in failure to register for future semesters.
