To stay in compliance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners Rule
114, the Dental Assistant Program at TSTC Waco is offering an approved
course to qualify dental assistants dental assistants to become registered
in the state of Texas. Students will gain pertinent information in
jurisprudence, infection control and radiology qualifying them to take the
final examination following the morning and afternoon class sessions. Upon
successful completion of the course and passing the exam, students will be
issued a course certificate.
Course Information
This is an eight-hour course and full participation in the eight hours is
required. The course begins at 8 a.m.. There must be a minimum of 10
students for the course to make and will be limited to 30 students per
course. We will have a one hour break for lunch. Students may bring their
lunch or there are several local restaurants in the area. Ample parking is
located in front of the DA building.
The student must pass a written course examination given
at
the end of the course with a 70% to receive course credit.The examination may be retaken up to
two
times (at an additional fee of $10 per exam) within two weeks of course
completion.The course must be
repeated if the exam is not passes after the third attempt.

will be required to provide two photo IDs on the day of the examination.

behavior in a professional manner, respecting the rights of others.

policies regarding noise, illness, breaks, and behavior will be strictly
enforced.
