Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for notifying D/DSS of their accommodation needs. Students with disabilities who request special accommodations or prescriptions for auxiliary aids will be required to apply for services from D/DSS and to provide proof of disability from a qualified professional. Prior notification before the beginning of any term is necessary to adequately schedule services. D/DSS will work with the student's department and instructors, TSTC staff, and appropriate federal and state agencies to ensure that reasonable accommodations are made. TSTC and D/DSS assume no responsibility for personal assistance necessary for independent living, or for specialized medical care.
