In its "Occupational Outlook Handbook," the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics outlines median earnings of over $32,000 per year, up to $51,000 and more for drafters in 1998. Opportunities are unlimited for sharp professionals in this field.

Drafting & Design Technology graduates experience ongoing demand for their skills and experience. Industrial growth and increasingly complex design problems will only increase the demand for drafting services. The BLS describes the best opportunities awaiting those who have focused training, a solid understanding of drafting fundamentals, technical skills and knowledge and experience using CAD systems.
