  • You have to pay a fee,
  • Money-back offers or guarantees,
  • Credit card or bank account information required,
  • Provides exclusive information.
Scams: "Phishing" & "Pharming"
"Phishing"
  • Unsolicited emails that bear the logo of your bank or credit card,
  • Appear legitimate but are traps to lure you into giving out your personal or account information,
  • NEVER give out Social Security, credit card, or bank account numbers to unsolicited emails or calls.
"Pharming"
  • Unsolicited emails that encourage you to visit a website or click on suspicious links,
  • Make sure your inbox spam filters are up to date,
  • BE CAREFUL to whom you give out your contact information or email address.

Aviation Career Education (ACE) Sponsorship Program
 
L-3 Communications Integrated Systems and Texas State Technical College Waco are teaming up to recruit Central Texas high school graduates into the TSTC Aviation Maintenance Program.

The Aviation Career Education (ACE) Sponsorship Program is a five-semester curriculum. This program allows the student to test for their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification with the Federal Aviation Administration. This license can open the door to a rewarding career in aviation.
 
Applications are now being accepted for the Upcoming Fall Semester. As only Five (5) ACE Students are selected for entry each academic year, competition is very intense.
 
Acceptance of applicants will end upon the selection of the fifth ACE Student. Applications received after the selection of the fifth ACE Student will be held on file in the event a candidate select as an ACE Student becomes disqualified or declines.

NATF Scholarships Offers Three Great Scholarships
 
The National Air Transportation Foundation's mission is to enhance the safety and quality of service provided the flying public by assisting deserving individuals reach their academic and flight training goals. One way of achieving this mission is through scholarships. 
 
NATF provides an academic scholarship, flight training scholarship and a scholarship for employees of NATA member companies to continue their education. By awarding these scholarships annually, NATF hopes to achieve its goal of assisting outstanding candidates pursue careers in aviation service businesses. 
 
The "Pioneers of Flight Scholarship," is given annually to deserving college students enrolled in aviation programs to be used to pursue their academic goals. Our flight training scholarship, the "Dan L. Meisinger Sr. Memorial Scholarship," is given annually to college students and anyone over the age of 18 to provide the opportunity to learn how to fly. The "NATA Business Scholarship," which is also given annually is to fund studies directly related to furthering the skills applicable to working at an FBO, charter company maintenance facility or flight school.
