Step One: Accept or reject your loans
Log into your WebAdvisor account at and go to Accept or Reject my financial aid awards. in the lower left hand column.
Choose 2011 as the financial aid year and click submit.
If you wish to accept or reject all of your loans, you will go to .Action to Take on All. in the middle of the screen.
If you wish to accept your subsidized loan and reject your unsubsidized loan, you will have to click on the Action to Take for each award period (semester). You MUST mark the action to take for ALL award periods.
If you only want to reject a loan for one semester, you MUST contact the Financial Aid Office.
To complete Step 2 and Step 3, you will need to sign into Studentloans.gov by providing your social security number, first two letters of your last name, date of birth and PIN number. If you do not remember your PIN number, click here.
Step Two: Complete on-line entrance counseling. Click here
Be sure to indicate that you are an undergraduate student
Select Texas State Technical College
At the end of the counseling session, you will be notified if you have passed

Step Three: Complete your Master Promissory Note at the same website in Step Two.
Be sure to choose .Complete Master Promissory Note for Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan.

Step Four: Attend a Loan Information Session.
Any student at TSTC Waco who receives student loans must attend a Loan Information Session. The session lasts around 30 minutes and you only have to attend one session. Please bring a pen or pencil. In addition, you will need information for two references, including names, phone numbers and email addresses.
Loan Information Sessions are held in the Texas Room in the Student Services Center on Tuesdays at 8:30 am and Thursdays at 4 pm.
Then, before you withdraw, graduate, or drop below half-time attendance (regardless if you plan to transfer to another school), regulations require that you complete an exit counseling session for your Federal Stafford Loan (subsidized or unsubsidized) and Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans. The counseling session provides information about how to manage your student loans after college. Click here for exit counseling.
