GrantsFederal Pell Grant: The Federal Pell Grant is designed to help you obtain your postsecondary education. It is intended to be the base of your financial aid package and may not cover all your expenses. The good news is that — unlike loans — you generally don’t have to pay them back. Eligibility is based on a student’s financial need.
Federal and State Work-Study Program (FWSP): Another way to help pay your way through college is with the work-study program, which is designed to promote part-time on-campus employment for those who need financial assistance. Funds are available to the college to help create job opportunities; however, these funds are limited and you must apply early! |
LoansDirect Loan Program: Offers a few types of loans: subsidized and unsubsidized (Stafford) loans for students, PLUS loans for parents and graduate/ professional students, and consolidation loans for both students and parents.
Parents Loan: Parents can borrow a PLUS Loan to help pay your education expenses if you are a dependent undergraduate student enrolled at least half time in an eligible program at an eligible school. PLUS Loans are available through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program.
