• follow oral and written instructions;
• demonstrate a broad knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment;
• practice exceptional human relations skills; and
• learn new concepts and skills on their own.

Certificate program graduates may perform service, repair and maintain equipment or install equipment in new or existing buildings. Graduates of the AAS degree program may hold jobs testing equipment in laboratories and in the field and checking complete systems as technicians install them in buildings. They may also find opportunities servicing or selling equipment, helping operate a wholesale equipment house or designing and managing environmental control systems.
