Job Placement

Salaries & Advancement:
The landscape design field offers almost boundless employment opportunities. Landscape design technicians apply their knowledge and skills to landscaping of every kind, from private grounds and gardens to commercial and industrial parks, apartment complexes, athletic facilities and much more.

All hourly wages for crew positions increased, with horticulturist hourly pay increasing the most since 2003, according to the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. In 2007, the average size of a crew managed by golf course superintendents is 21, up slightly from 2003 and 2005 when a crew size of 20 was reported.

Technicians in Demand:
As a graduate of the TSTC Landscape Design Technician program, you can look forward to many exciting career options located all across the country. Graduate earning expectations range from $28,000 to $45,000 a year working for established organizations, or unlimited earnings potential in self-owned businesses. With an associate's degree in GLM and dedication, successful graduates can easily move into management positions. TSTC graduates are highly recruited – often employed prior to graduation.
