Salaries & Advancement:
GLM graduates can earn great salaries, with the average starting salary ranging up to $34,000, according to graduate exit surveys.

In addition, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America reports in its 2007 Compensation and Benefits Survey* that assistant superintendents' salaries have increased to $37,032 in 2007, a seven percent increase since 2005.

In fact, all hourly wages for crew positions increased, with horticulturist hourly pay increasing the most since 2003. In 2007, the average size of a crew managed by golf course superintendents is 21, up slightly from 2003 and 2005 when a crew size of 20 was reported.

With experience, professionals in landscape and turfgrass industries enjoy excellent earnings and an array of benefits such as meal and vehicle allowances, paid vacation and insurance, bonuses and more.
