In today’s economic climate, an educated workforce is more important than ever. To remain globally competitive, Texans need a strong education to keep up with rapid technological changes and an increasingly competitive job market. That’s why Texas State Technical College Waco, in partnership at the East Williamson County Higher Education Center, began offering classes at Hutto in the fall of 2011.
The college has a long history of educating Texans. Over its nearly 50-year history, TSTC has produced more than 30,000 graduates. TSTC is the only state-assisted technical college system in Texas offering associate degrees and certificate programs in critical and emerging technologies.
TSTC students spend over 60 percent of their time learning through hands-on training in laboratory settings to ensure they are work-ready from their first day on the job. Because of this strong training, graduates are in demand. TSTC boasts a placement rate of more than 90 percent (based on departmental job placement activities).
