Living on campus offers a lot of opportunities for TSTC Waco students. You will be exposed to social activities and educational programming and begin building lasting friendships. Besides being conveniently close to classes and campus resources, research show that students who live on campus for at least one year are more likely to:

  • Finish college compared to those who never live on campus
  • Go on to earn an advanced degree
  • Have a higher GPA
  • Gain improved self-confidence
  • Participate more in outside class activities

It is our belief that the residential life experience is an important part of your educational process. The living environment at TSTC gives students the opportunities for social interaction, interpersonal relationships and cultural activities. We want to foster a living/ learning environment where students can develop qualities of self-discipline and responsibility, and will enlarge their educational experience through new ideas and cultural diversity.

Also, all new students residing in one of TSTC Waco’s single student housing options and who are 21 years or younger on the first day of their first semester, are required to purchase a meal plan for his/her first two consecutive semesters on campus, in addition to housing fees. Students meeting these qualification, will automatically be billed for the 1M525 Meal Plan.  However, students may elect to upgrade to a different meal plan during the sign-up period.

Special circumstances justifying an exemption will be considered by and should be directed to the Director of Campus Living.
