Salaries for Industrial Systems & Engineering Technology graduates can vary
widely, depending upon location, employer and experience. The 2008-2009
edition of the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook
indicates average hourly wages for industrial machinery mechanics and
maintenance workers ranged from $16.61 and $19.74. In three to five years,
many graduates advance to higher positions as team leaders or supervisors
with substantial pay increases and other benefits.

As a student in ISE, you will use many types of equipment and software to
gain the competitive edge. These may include:

- Specialized instruments such as vibration analyzers,
ultrasonic and laser alignment systems;
- Electrical equipment such as digital multi-meters and
programmable logic controllers;
