That means that qualified laser technicians can take their pick of jobs just about anywhere in the state or the nation. TSTC's Laser Electro-Optics Technology program provides hands-on laboratory training and experience with a variety of state-of-the-art laser equipment, including: |
- Optical sensors;
- Industrial printers and plotters;
- Electronic support systems;
- Semiconductors;
- Vacuum systems;
- Nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment; and
- many other types of equipment and applications.

| LET graduates secure positions worldwide in research and development, engineering, field service and semiconductor manufacturing. Graduates also find great opportunities in national research laboratories, including those that specialize in nuclear fission. In addition, many graduates of the LET program hold jobs in metropolitan areas with companies such as Coherent, Spectra Physics, Raytheon, Laser Vision and International SEMATECH. |
| Students in the LET program have the opportunity to network with industry professionals through the program's Advisory Committee, as well as with those in organizations such as the Optical Society of America. LET students also participate in student chapters of the Laser Institute of America (LIA), the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) and the program's Photonics Club. |
