Media Communications & Information

The communication age describes the current times. The expression of ideas and thoughts through channels such as photography, video, Web pages and interactive learning systems is an expanding form of communication. And the use of electronic media in communicating has become a major part of our lives. The Media Communication & Information Technology (MCI) program at Texas State Technical College offers you a unique chance to learn about the diverse field of communication and the mediums available to transfer information. You can learn the skills you need for a career as a media information specialist in the MCI program.

This program offers a focus on the skills needed to analyze the audience that will receive the message, analyze the content of the message and analyze the environment where the message will be delivered ... for determining an appropriate medium and developing the script and storyboard for the production. Production skills covered include photography, video, audio and multimedia.
