U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data indicate network security technicians, with experience, can earn an average wage of $50,000 per year. With experience, graduates can earn higher salaries by advancing to positions as network security administrators or members/managers of computer security incident response teams. Graduates can also increase earnings and mobility by moving into research and development, management or administrative positions. |

The BLS reports the expectation that employment of computing professional will increase much faster than average. | Students in the NST program can look forward to many opportunities to network with established industry professionals, such as members of the advisory committee. Members include representatives with the United States Secret Service, Texas Department of Public Safety, Waco Police Department, L-3 Communications, Dell and Airscanner. |
