Digital Forensics Investigation

...Specialization of Network Security Technology

On every show of CSI and other detective-type programs, fans get a look at the important role digital forensics investigations plays in tracking down perpetrators and crucial information to crack a case.

Now, Texas State Technical College Waco will offer an advanced technical certification in this emerging technology that can help prepare students for a career in law enforcement, government agencies, accounting/auditing or insurance companies and much more.

The advanced certificate in the Network Security program will require students to complete 24 semester credit hours in advanced technical courses, including Fundamentals of Digital Data Storage, Digital Forensics Collection, Digital Forensics Tools and Digital Forensics Analysis, as well take on a comprehensive Digital Forensics project.

Note: Certificate candidates must have a related computer degree (AAS or higher) in either Network Security or Computer Network and Systems Administration or a criminal justice degree with three years of computer experience.
