Automotive Heavy Line Technician Certificate

The Heavy Line Technician – Level 1 Certificate is a specialization in the Automotive Technology (AUT) that allows students to focus on a particular area to gain additional skills, improve your current job performance by adding new skills, or enhance your associate degree by developing additional credentials.  Whichever you choose, you can count on getting a great education, because Texas State Technical College AUT program is ranked the leader in post-secondary automotive education. Backed by faculty with dozens of years of industry experience and an advisory board comprised of automotive industry leaders, TSTC offers a curriculum that matches what employers seek.

Students spend approximately 60 percent of their time working in sophisticated labs learning first-hand the actual trade on  approximately $3 million worth of the latest industry equipment. You can also rest assured your skills are current, because the AUT program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation and its instructors are certified by National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, a standard most employers look for in today’s competitive climate.
