Job Placement
There are compelling reasons why employers are attracted to TSTC graduates:
More than 60 percent of your class time is spent on actual hands-on work in lab settings.
Your internship opportunities in actual working environments provide on-the-job experience that is valued in the industry.
“Only a two-year degree is required, and the job market is terrific – you’re unlikely to ever hear the word ‘layoff,” said Veteran Career Coach, writer and author Marty Nemko, referring to BET jobs in an interview with TSTC’s Dr. Roger Bowles in a 2008 U.S. News & World Report article on Best Careers 2008.
Excellent training … recession-proof job
"The Hologic apprentice program hires primarily medical imaging students. We understand they are coming directly out of school with little experience. We take them into our program and train them intensely on our complete product line. They work on the assembly floors; they attend our training programs and then travel around the country with other field engineers to gain on the job experience. After approximately 9 months they graduate from the program and then take over their own territory. The response from our customers when TSTC graduates enter the field is overwhelmingly positive. These men and women are very professional as they must be able to talk to hospital technologists and radiologists. They are technically competent from the training they received at TSTC and the additional training at Hologic. Hologic has been working closely with TSTC for the last three years and that has helped us in placing 17 field engineers." - Ken Swartz, Director, Digital Imaging Technical Support, Hologic Inc.
