Certificates of Completion

The Diesel Equipment Technology (DET) program offers four Certificates of Completion that allow students to specialize or add to their degree including:

 

Students can combine them with a matching associate degree or take them separately to increase their skill bank. Those already working in the industry may want to expand their skills and knowledge by obtaining additional certifications to gain possible promotions or advancements in their respective fields.

Associate Degree- Agriculture Equipment
The Diesel Equipment Technology program at TSTC offers an Associate of Applied Science degree specializing in Agriculture Equipment. You can build your skills and develop your knowledge  and graduate in approximately two years.

Associate Degree- Construction Equipment
The Construction Equipment Specialization, offered by TSTC's Diesel Equipment Technology program, offers the intense, hands-on technical training needed to repair and maintain the complex construction equipment vital to today's economy. Students can gain diesel and construction equipment training that can lead to exceptional career opportunities and outstanding financial rewards in industry by earning their Associate of Applied Science degree in approximately two years.

Associate Degree- Heavy Truck
Texas must have skilled technicians to repair and maintain today's technologically advanced heavy trucks. Texas State Technical College offers the Diesel Equipment Technology program to provide job-oriented instruction on the latest industry-standard equipment in its Heavy Truck Specialization. A full-time, academically prepared student can earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in approximately two years.

Associate Degree- John Deere Construction & Forestry Technician
The John Deere Construction & Forestry Technician Program is a dealer-sponsored program between the John Deere dealer and Texas State Technical College Waco. This partnership helps to provide the John Deere dealerships with qualified technicians. A full-time, academically prepared student can complete the program in approximately two years and graduate with an Associate of Applied Science degree. The summer term between the first and second year will consist of on the job experience provided by the sponsoring dealership where you will work alongside experienced John Deere technicians with day-to- day operations in the dealership.
