The majority of graduates find employment in Texas with companies such as Baker Oil, Weatherford, Turner, Collie & Braden Engineers, and Melden & Hunt. The remainder seek and find employment outside the state with companies such as McDonnell-Douglas, Los Alamos National Laboratories and others.

The Drafting and Design program maintains an efficient and high quality two-year technical education program which provides the engineering, construction and manufacturing industries in Texas with highly skilled employees who perform exceptionally well at entry-level positions.

This program also assists graduates in obtaining initial employment as entry-level CAD or design technicians. Industrial growth and increasingly complex problems linked to new products and processes have greatly increased the demand for drafting services.
