Small class size
At TSTC, our Mechanical Engineering classes average 20 students per class to ensure instructors have plenty of time to work with each student.
Compared to other colleges, TSTC students spend less time in the classroom and much more time in work settings, operating the instruments they will use in the Mechanical Engineering field. Students are engaged more than 60 percent of their time in performing the actual work they will do upon graduation from college. Through a unique partnership with HAAS Automation, MET has established a regional training facility that enhances the learning experience. In this facility, you can learn Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) programming and operations.
After graduation, you can gain even more credibility by earning industry certifications such as those offered by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies. The voluntary certification program combines written exams in over 30 specialties with specific job-related experience requirements, all of which can enhance your resume and polish your skills.
