CNN Money, US News & World Report, Wired Magazine, and many other sources say top jobs of the future will especially include anything to do with Information Technology (IT). This is true in Texas as well as the nation, as the state's Workforce Commission lists Information and Computer Technology among its top six economically critical occupations.
One IT sector in particular, Computer Network, Systems and Database Administrators, will add nearly 300,000 jobs nationwide between now and 2018. That means jobs should be available for those who want to enter this ever-growing industry.
