Thank you for your interest in Aircraft Pilot Training Technology at Texas State Technical College Waco. We offer an associate of applied science degree program, with a major in Aircraft Pilot Training Technology. TSTC Waco is fully accredited, and our courses are set up for the career-minded pilot. They thoroughly cover each aspect of flight training. It is possible to complete all academics, plus most of the flight certificates in approximately two years. Private, commercial, instrumental and either flight instructor or multi-engine certificates are required for the degree, with an enhanced skills certificate offered as an additional option. New students start in the fall. Before entering the program, they are required to complete a Class II Medical, college entrance exams and any required remediation. For certificates completed prior to enrollment at TSTC, credit can be earned for flying time from logbooks, as well as credit for college courses that are equivalent to those offered at TSTC (per FAR 141 Regulations). The Aircraft Pilot Training program is a member of the National Intercollegiate Flying Association. In addition to Aircraft Pilot Training, TSTC offers the following programs approved by the Federal Aviation Administration: Aircraft Dispatch, Air Traffic Control, Avionics and Aviation Maintenance.
