Did you know that one out of every 11 telecommunications jobs in the United States is based in Texas? Career opportunities continue to expand rapidly in the Lone Star State as employers hire the second highest number of telecommunications technicians in the nation.
Eight of the world’s 10 largest telecommunications equipment manufacturers operate in Texas, and industry sources estimate that these plants should need an additional 500 qualified technicians in each of the next three years.
Graduates of TSTC’s Telecommunications program have multiple avenues for entering the Texas job market, including satellite transmission, fiber optic systems, microwave transmission, data communication and international communication networks.
Annual entry-level salaries can range from $40,000 to $65,000 depending upon specialization and region.
