At Texas State Technical College, you can get the critical skills needed to become a successful Web designer/developer. The two-year associate degree in Web Design & Development offers targeted coursework in Web site production, programming, applications and maintenance, as well as the practical hands-on experience required to understand the technology.

 What you’ll do!

  • Produce sketches, designs and copy layouts for online content.

  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy.

  • Select style and size of type, and arrange layout based on available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

TSTC Certifications to Boost Your Resume

In addition to holding a degree from TSTC, graduates can build skills and credibility in the job market by earning industry certifications. After completing a TSTC degree, graduates should be eligible to test for certifications such as: Certified Professional Webmaster (CPW), Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) and Certified Professional Web Developer (CPWDV) Specializations.


TSTC’s Web Design & Development Faculty proactively support all facets of our program, giving each student a wealth of one-to-one coaching. Students are encouraged to perform with creativity and a collaborative spirit. Our instructors have significant professional, industry experience, which results in competency-based education highly related to the real-world workplace.

Small class size

TSTC's Web Design & Development classes are strictly limited to 20 students per class to ensure that instructors have time to foster individualized training.

Hands-on learning

Each on-site student has access to a computer and up-to-date software programs. Not only will you develop Web pages in class, but your internships also place you in a non-profit or business where training becomes actualized in a direct need situation.

Our Advisory Committees are comprised of industry progfessionals who determine what is taught and how it is conveyed to you so that the methods and technology TSTC incorporates are the desired, front line solutions.
