Roles & Responsibilities:
As a graduate of the Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology program, your job responsibilities may include performing preventive maintenance, testing, operating, maintaining and installing complex process equipment used in seminconductor manufacturing.

Graduates of the SMT program hold positions such as process engineering technician, equipment maintenance technician, process development technician, quality reliability technician, water fab technician, ion implant technician and engineering development technician.

 
Employers want technicians who can:
  • Motivate themselves;
  • Work in a team environment;
  • Learn quickly;
  • Adapt to changes in technology;
  • Manage work flow;
  • Communicate effectively; and
